"GIVE ME A SIGN: THE LANGUAGE OF SYMBOLS" on the Cooper Hewitt exhibition shows us an exploration and adventures on how powerful the symbol of communication is and the purpose that the communication design serves that was expressed s the years.
The goals of designing symbols is that it expresses a very complex ideas through their arts as well as trying to make the art or the design universal. In which graphic designer creates a limit in languages and create a barrier upon it in order to visually communicate with clarity.
Symbol creates a visual information by making the design forms as recognizable as possible. They do it by creating various kinds of emotions, thoughts, experiences, flashbacks in making a wide range of contexts to the intended audiences with feedbacks and such critics they feel connected to the design.
As a graphic designer, I can anticipate these skills by creating a stronger and better message with high intense level of typography and iconography. By creating form, colors and contrast in order to create s rich symbols with a very sophisticated meaning to it. This way we can create a symbol that is universal with an evolved and complex function/structure to the communication design world that can help people visually understand the signs and surroundings around them in their everyday lives. Therefore, making a very strong design in making symbols can interact as well as interpret a same or equal understanding through language barriers and cultural differences in which sets a accessible connection between people despite their differences especially while living in a technology era that is evolving throughout the years.
